Game|Life Reboot #47: PlayStation Price Grows as Tokyo Game Show Shrinks
Sony announced a new model of PlayStation 3 before Japan’s biggest gaming expo kicked off. But in doing so it raised, not lowered, the price of the unit for the United States. PlayStation Vita didn’t get a much-needed price cut or big new game announcements, and we wonder aloud about what kind of future it can possibly have — especially as game developers keep putting out games on the old PSP, which still sells for lots of money in Japan. We discuss some of our Borderlands 2 and Mark of the Ninja experiences, plus we get into the ol’ Phonebags, reading some of your text messages.

Operation Kino 81: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower And Loving A League Of Their Own
This week on Operation Kino, we can’t believe you’re also into The Smiths and Rocky Horror Picture Show, as we review the new high school movie The Perks of Being A Wallflower. From there we jump into a conversation inspired by Katey’s manic desire to have more people recognize the greatness of A League of Their Own, discussing potentially B-level or not “great” movies that many women love, and why won’t talk about them as much as, say, Conan the Barbarian. Before any of that, though, there’s tidbits about more Netflix documentaries, Breaking Amish, the new movie Dredd and the Titanic Blu-ray release. We end, as always, with your lightning round answers for dessert.

Alex, Dan and special guest reviewer Catherine Reitman from Revision 3’s own “Breakin’ It Down” take a hit of Slo-Mo and become this film’s judge, jury, and executioner.
